Every #EurekaMoment has an origin story…
Near the turn of the last century, two Southern Cape farmers came together to build a flour mill in their shed. The year was 1998, and their dream was to create some small-batch flour to boost their income. Little did they know that their flavourful, stoneground product would quickly garner a passionate following among professional bakers, chefs, foodies, and DIY makers alike…
As demand for their products grew, the mill slowly expanded to create even more job opportunities and produce a range of wonderful products using truckloads of sun-kissed wheat berries produced by hard-working farmers throughout the district.
Today, Eureka Mills is widely renowned for its exceptional stoneground flours, easy home mixes, ready-baked rusks, cookies, cheese sticks and other speciality products.

We have also teamed up with two proudly South African brands Black Mamba and Funky Ouma to inspire you to create something delicious!
BLACK MAMBA
Situated in the beautiful African country of Eswatini, the Black Mamba team likes their products like they like their people – fresh, flavorful, and non-toxic, with no added nonsense. Their aim is to create products that taste good, look good and do good for your health, the community, and the planet. And they’ve achieved this quite spectacularly by supporting small, local growers who farm according to permaculture principles.
Each of these expertly hand-crafted products incorporates only natural, fresh ingredients. Made in a small factory run mainly by empowered women from the Eswatini community, these internationally renowned products bring plenty of flavour beyond the fire.
FUNKY OUMA
Funky Ouma is the brainchild of a literal funky Ouma who has been cooking up a storm and experimenting with food all her life and turned her passion into a business with the help of her daughter at the age of 67! Their factory, herb garden, and lemon orchard are all on the farm where they live, which allows for a beautiful work-life balance and plenty of time with the grandchildren.
