What?

Double Dutch is about great tasting cocktails. As a company, they believe the best way to make great products is to be brave but never serious. Having fun is their most important ingredient of all.

Double Dutch is the result of this love affair – uniting great spirits with complementary mixers that enliven and enhance. Richard Branson supported the Double Dutch vision by giving the twins a Foodpreneur award for their innovative Food and Beverage brand.

From the world’s best mixologists through to those who prefer their G&T on the sofa at home, the Double Dutch twins have created revolutionary mixers to intensify enjoyment of spirits, or to be drunk solo – Double Dutch is much more than double the taste sensation, it’s a whole new world of soft drinks.

How?

Each bottle is entirely made without any artificial flavouring, colouring or preservatives.
They only use superior natural ingredients with a blend of the highest quality spring water from the North of England. On top of that, all their drinks are low in calories.

Their production method is aligned with the highest possible grade of environmental awareness possible for them as a brand. Their packaging is sourced ethically with minimal environmental footprint being the key determinant of all their decision making.

Double Dutch successfully keeps their consumers well informed of the nature of the drinks and the brand whilst simultaneously combating waste. They have multiple bottling plants across the world which minimises transport distances for the raw materials and finished goods in their end markets. They are always looking to improve, so they are also working hard towards the end goal of becoming 100% carbon neutral.

Jeannette – I’m obsessed with the Spices & Oakwood mixer! It’s incredibly warming and soothing. I can only imagine that a smoky, peaty whisky would be simply beautiful with a touch of spice! Great choice!

Oh my gosh, Chuneillah, that sounds absolutely decadent! I love basil, so the idea of adding fresh basil is lovely! I might actually give this a try myself…thank you for entering!

My take on a Double Dutch cocktail would be named: In the Midst of a Storm. It’s a bit of a play on a Dark and Stormy with a South African twist. So here goes:
    50ml Sun Camino Flora Rum
15ml syrup from Woolies Black Cherries in Brandy Syrup
    Squeeze of lime
    Double Dutch Cranberry and Ginger
Lime wedge and a a few black cherries to garnish
To a drinks shaker add ice, rum, syrup and lime. Strain into a chilled glass with ice and top with Double Dutch Cranberry and Ginger, garnish with a lime wedge and a few black cherries, swizzle and serve.

Nonceba, I really wouldn’t mind being in the Midst of this Storm! This sounds absolutely amazing, and I love the addition of the black cherries with the Double Dutch Cranberry and Ginger drink. Thank you so much for entering, and fingers crossed!
